Crystal-clear, breathtaking,
seat-shaking cinema sound is here with QSC's DCA Series Digital
Cinema Amplifiers. Five 2-channel models offer power points from 200
to 1700 watts per channel in a two rack, 21-pound amplifier. With
QSC's exclusive PowerWave® switching technology you'll hear
ultra-powerful bass and superior highs in every scene.
With PowerWave technology, DCA amplifiers take your
soundtracks to a whole new level. Not only does it give your music
bigger bass and cleaner highs, PowerWave also cuts wasted heat and
boosts reliability. PowerWave is a switching power supply that
provides ample current to the audio power circuitry by charging the
supply rails 230,000 times a second through an ultra-low impedance
circuit, so unlike high- powered amps with conventional supplies, the
audio signal is never starved prematurely, but remains crisp and
clean. It virtually eliminates hum and greatly reduces noise,
providing a vast dynamic range that can handle the most demanding
digital soundtracks without running out of headroom. DCA Series amps
also boast a set of useful features such as individually selectable
clip limiters and subsonic filters; and stereo, parallel, and bridged
mono operation.

The latest advances in sound
system technology such as Dolby Digital Surround-EX and
tri-amplification require more amplifier channels than ever before.
That's why QSC designed their newest DCA amplifiers to give you four
channels of power in a compact package that doesn't eat up precious
rack space. And, compared to the cost of two stereo amplifiers,
you'll find they leave more room in your budget as well. In addition
to their superior performance they have packed these amps with useful
features designed specifically for the cinema market.

ISA
Series
|
The ISA Series
features six models including three low impedance models (ISA
280, ISA 450, ISA 750) rated for 2-ohm operation, and three
"T" versions with 25, 70 and 100 volt outputs for
distributed audio systems (ISA 300T, ISA 500T, ISA 800T).
Versatile loading options and a comprehensive feature set make
the ISA Series a rugged, cost-effective power solution for any
permanently installed sound system.
Unique among distributed sound power amplifiers, the
"T" versions will drive 8- or 4-ohm loads and a
distributed system on the same channel simultaneously.
Housed in a rugged 3-U chassis, all six models feature rear panel
gain controls for tamper resistant operation with 2 dB detents
for quick and repeatable settings. Inputs include both XLR and
detachable Euro-style connectors. Outputs feature covered barrier
strip connectors for safety agency compliance, and for added
versatility, a DataPort V2 (Version 2) terminated with an |
|
HD-15 connector is provided for
use with DPV2-compatible signal processing accessories such as
the XC-3 Crossover, SF-3 Subwoofer Filter, LF-3 Low Frequency
Filter and the DSP-3 with external power supply.
Selectable high-pass filters are included to protect speakers and
prevent speaker transformer saturation with minimal effect on
program material. The ISA Series provide additional protection
circuitry including DC, infrasonic, thermal overload, RF and
short circuit protection.
On the ISA 750 and ISA 800T, class H complementary bipolar output
circuitry increases system efficiency by reducing AC power draw
and waste heat by 40%. Cooling is accomplished via an automatic
variable speed fan, which pulls air from back to front.

DCM
Cinema Monitor

QSC's
Digital Cinema Monitors provide signal processing and monitor
functions in a single integrated system. Designed to be used with
QSC's Digital Cinema Amplifiers (DCAs), DCMs optimize loudspeaker
performance while simplifying cinema sound system wiring and
configuration. Three models--the DCM-1, DCM-2 and DCM-3--cover
cinema systems ranging from six to eight channels configured for
bi-amp or tri-amp operation. DCMs are also compatible with all
cinema processor formats including Dolby Surround-EX.
Digital Signal Processing
The DCM's digital signal processing capability outperforms
traditional analog crossovers for optimized speaker performance. |
|
Crossover frequency, parametric
equalization, polarity and gain can be precisely adjusted for
each speaker in your system. Digital delays, adjustable in 20
microsecond increments, assure proper acoustical time-alignment
of loudspeaker drivers for smooth frequency response, especially
critical in three-way systems. A passive emergency bypass
crossover is also included for fail-safe operation.
Less wiring, faster setup
DCMs greatly simplify system wiring and set-up, significantly
reducing installation time and labor cost. Input to the DCM is
provided via a standard DB-25 cable from the cinema processor.
Connections to DCA amplifiers for input and monitor signals are
made through a single VGA-style cable. All traditional XLR and
barrier strip terminations are eliminated.
DCMs also simplify set-up by using a menu-driven, PC-based
software program for configuration. The program includes a
speaker data file that lists default parameters for popular
cinema speaker models. Commonly used configurations can also be
saved on a disk, allowing you to quickly load them on other DCMs.
Advanced Monitor Functions
In addition to audio monitoring of amplifier inputs and outputs,
DCMs include QSC's exclusive "Load Fault" detection.
DCMs monitor all amplifier outputs and indicate opens and shorts
in the speaker system and wiring via LED "load fault"
indicators, providing confirmation that all amp outputs are
functioning properly.
